DECONSTRUCCIÓN: UN REORDENAMIENTO DE LA VIDA, LA POLÍTICA Y EL ARTE 

En el arranque de las celebraciones de su décimo aniversario, el Museo de Arte Patricia & Phillip Frost (Miami. USA) presenta la muestra Deconstrucción: una reordenación de la vida, la política y el arte que cuenta con obras de doce artistas de Miami: Eddie Arroyo, Zachary Balber, Frida Baranek y Christopher Carter. Leyden Rodríguez-Casanova, Yanira Collado, Gonzalo Fuenmayor, Pepe Mar, Glexis Novoa,  Sandra Ramos, Jamilah Sabur y Frances Trombly. 


Sus obras examinan el tema de la deconstrucción, desde los eventos actuales en la corriente de las redes sociales frenéticas hasta los despertares transculturales que estos artistas han experimentado en Miami. El subtítulo de la exposición se deriva de los mensajes proféticos del libro de Guy Debord de 1967, The Society of the Spectacle,que advirtió sobre un mundo futuro donde las interacciones sociales se ven demasiado influenciadas por imágenes que nos impedirían el contacto personal directo.

La muestra permanecerá abierta hasta el 30 de septiembre

Sobre el museo: Uno de los museos independientes de arte más grandes de Florida, el Museo de Arte Patricia & Phillip Frost en la Universidad Internacional de Florida fue fundado en 1977 y es el Afiliado Smithsonian en Miami. El nuevo edificio junto al lago del museo debutó en 2008, diseñado por Yann Weymouth (el jefe de diseño del proyecto IM Pei Grand Louvre), y este año celebra su décimo aniversario.
